Supplier Visits: A Day Spent Sourcing

There’s nothing quite like stepping away from the desk and into the world of our suppliers.

Recently, I set aside a day to immerse myself in materials, textures, and craft – the very building blocks of our interiors. From the timeless grains at Havwoods, to exploring light and shadow with Nook Collections, to feeling the textured surfaces at Bisanna Tiles, each visit was a reminder of why this process is so important.

These sourcing days are integral to what we do at Unfolded. They allow us to look beyond samples, to truly understand how products feel, perform, and fit into the bigger picture. It’s not just about aesthetics, it’s about connecting with the makers and ensuring the products we specify bring both beauty and integrity into our projects.

Need help navigating your interior project? We invite you to GET IN TOUCH with us and we look forward to working with you on your next project, whatever it may be!

I personally prioritise visiting showrooms rather than only relying on samples being sent. You never know what you might discover in person, and the experience of engaging with the materials directly is invaluable. It’s a core value of mine as a business owner - to learn, to connect, and to source with intention.
