Behind the Design: What We’re Lining Up for 2026.
“When I started Behind the Design I had no background in podcasting. I had an idea, a lot of curiosity, and a real pull to share the stories that sit behind the work we all admire. I never expected the industry to respond the way it has. The support, the encouragement, and the appetite for even more behind the scenes storytelling has been incredibly special. Watching a passion project come to life and actually make an impact has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I could keep doing this for another twenty years.”
From January 2026, Behind the Design moves into a new rhythm and a new chapter.
Series nine steps into a broader mix of guests and industry voices, bringing designers, stylists, architects, and material innovators into the studio more often. With the addition of bonus episodes, we shift from releasing every three weeks to a steady fortnightly flow. The conversations feel richer, more grounded, and more personal than ever.
We explore the themes already emerging for 2026: grounded luxury, sensory led spaces, crafted minimalism, bio inspired palettes, tactile storytelling, and the return of intimate, meaningful design. Every episode draws from the guest’s own journey, touching on furniture forms, colour direction, materials, process, and the ideas shaping how we live.
Working with Andrew Cooney from ThinkLoud Official, our producer, has been a huge part of shaping the show. His experience across creative production means we’re always refining and pushing each season to grow. Andrew often talks about how far the podcast has come, from the lift in production quality to the evolution in hosting and the growing range of guests and topics.
“The best thing about working with Camilla on Behind the Design is that because we are both creatives, we are always pushing for better. I can feel and see that the show has come so far since it started; the production quality, Camilla’s hosting ability and the variety of guests and topics. But I can also see that it’s only the beginning. If you like the show now, you’re going to love it more and more as time goes on. There’s nothing like it!”
Consider this an early look behind the scenes, setting up the conversations and themes we’ll be diving into throughout 2026. This season brings visionary designers, stylists, architects, and material innovators to the table - each offering rare insight into the spaces, shapes, and shifts redefining the way we live.
Together, we explore the trends already emerging for 2026: grounded luxury, sensory-driven spaces, the rise of crafted minimalism, bio-inspired palettes, tactile storytelling, and the return of meaningful, intimate design. From furniture forms and colour direction to material experimentation and spatial flow, every episode unpacks what’s influencing the interiors landscape next.
This journal extends the conversation - your place to capture ideas, sketch possibilities, and reflect on the concepts that will shape the year ahead. Think of it as a companion for curiosity, creativity, and the unfolding future of interior design.

OUR GUEST EXPERIENCE
“My experience as a guest on the Unfolded BTD Podcast was nothing short of amazing. Since it was my first podcast, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Camilla and her team handled everything with
utmost professionalism. They were so organised, and the production quality was impressively high for a small, dedicated team. This experience allowed us to deepen our connection with
customers and share the untold story behind the brand. The engagement and feedback has been brilliant, and we now have plenty of content to use. I would highly recommend getting involved.”
